Added a Fireplace, LCD TV, and Surround Sound to my Laredo *PICS*

Hello,

I recently did some modifications to my 2005 Keystone Laredo 308GR that I thought I would share.

I did not like the location of the original CRT TV as it was too low. I wanted to move the TV up to where the cabinet doors were (Pictured below). I had to build a frame to mount the TV to. I built the frame and secured it well. I then found paneling that matched the camper and covered the frame with it. I also found some oak colored trim that was a good match as well. I trimmed around the paneling with it as well as all of the openings in the cabinet. This not only covered prior screw holes, but also dressed it up really nice! The TV is on a full-motion mount and can be moved and tilted every-which way. I also installed a new Sony 5.1 Surround Sound system with sub woofer.

Once I did this I had a huge hole where the TV used to be. I decided to build a frame and install a custom electric fire place. I also moved the center channel speaker to the space below the fireplace for a custom look. The fire place can put out heat or just be on without heat for the visual effect.

Here are pictures of the project:

Very nice! We love the fireplace we installed as well as the Vizio 32" TV...way better than the tv that came with the trailer!

well done! Looks great! So now the question is, when are you going to be making your state to state tour, doing customization work for your fellow forum members?

Wow! That is very impressive. Great attention to detail with no cut corners. This has made me go out to mine and see if this is possible. Where do you find these fire places? Great job!
