Camping in Denver

We're headed out to Denver in May, 2017 for a wedding. The last time we were there we parked in my nephew's driveway, but it isn't available this time. The two parks I've listed below are reasonably close to where my nephew lives.

Does anyone have experience/comments on these, or recommendations of other TT parks in the metro Denver area?

Delux RV Park
5520 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80221

Prospect RV Park
11600 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033

I know it may be early to start planning, but I want to ensure we have a spot in case reservations are required.

Thanks.

We stayed at Dakota Ridge RV Park in west Denver last year. It's a "private RV resort" that rents empty spaces for overnight/extended stays. We enjoyed it, and the park is located at the foot of Lookout Mountain, away from the "craziness of Denver" but close enough to "be in the mix" quickly...

You might also want to check out Cherry Creek State Park in south Aurora. They have full hookups and do take reservations. Out of the way, much less noise and yet not "too far" from Aurora.

If you do a Google search for "RV parks in Denver, CO" you'll get several parks, all with 3+ star ratings.

I haven't stayed at either, but good luck. You are smart to plan this far out. We lived and camped in the Denver area for 3 years and places can fill up fast. Cherry Creek is a great place.

You are better off at Prospect if you can get a spot reserved.
I would stay at the Walmart in Wheat Ridge before I would leave my unit at the Deluxe on Federal Blvd.
Chatfield State Park is close.
Dakota Ridge in Golden is nice.
Jefferson County Fairgrounds is close also.
They all will be booked by April 1st.

If all you need is 20 amp and water you can PM me about my back lot, I let some folks stay here when there passing through.

We stayed at Cherry Creek State Park and loved it. Clean, safe and quiet.

Thank you for the feedback.

We're headed west with two other family members that also camp, and trying to get a decision is - to be polite - interesting.

I appreciate the information. It will be factored in.
