waste tank valve & cable lubrication

I have a Laredo with an enclosed under belly and have had trouble opening the the Black/grey cable operated waste water gate valves. Is there a way to lube the cables and keep the valves operating? Thanks in advance

Cable Lubrication

Hi,
I have a Montana and too have had a cable that was somewhat hard to pull.
I ended up having to remove the cable and reroute them from behind the panel where the cable was mounted. I then lubricated the cables with a lubricant I got from a local motorcycle dealer. The cables now have internal lubrication and do move easier. I also treat the tanks with a solution of canola oil and water softner. Everything in the black tank move smoothly. The canola oil lubricates the slide in the valve. Good luck

What kind of olives does canola oil come from????? . . .

Sorry to those who are newer, this humor goes back a few years.
