A crappy, off-brand, mis-wired piece of junk LOL

Seriously, they all suck... If you require "good" sound for radio/XM/streaming/movies, etc.... See what you get when it arrives and plan on replacing it with something 100x better at 1/5 of Keystone's upgrade price.

Don't know in the Cougar, but my Raptor came with a Sony removable face car stereo, a sound bar and a subwoofer. I love it. KS did something right.

Yup... My last RV was a TH and it came with nice car audio equipment... THs tend to cater to a different crowd in.

This past weekend we went tire kicking and looked at the new 14's while shopping for some kibble and bits. Noticed that they were using a different radio from what was in the 13's that we had purchased. Although not high end I'm happy with the stereo in our 13. The 14's appear to be a lower end unit.

I would think this is definitely an item that gets changed regularly at the factory which means what you see in a unit on the lot likely will be different from what you get when ordered. Not sure dealers know what will be on it. I would think these stereos are comparable within KS classifications. The Raptor comes with a Sony touch screen auto stereo unit, around 8 Sony speakers, 8-10" sub-woofer, and a 700 watt power Amp. I have no complaints with the system. Extra wattage helps blow dust off the paddle fan blades

Hmm, this gives me some ideas as well thanks for sharing. Should be easy enough to do any type of car audio deck since theyre 12 volt as well. And some decent speakers.

This is the route I would (and probably will eventually) go...

The only ~slight~ concern I have about it is the distance between the entertainment center and the battery bank/converter - because of the wire size.

Depending on how "loud" you like your music/movies, the factory wire size found in the wall might be small for the after market car audio amp.

I don't know that it's specifically an issue... It might be fine... But it's definitely worth checking if you decide to make any changes.
