I think having clear as opposed to frosted has a lot to do with your layout. Mine, I actually prefer the frosted. If I want to see who is out there, I can look out the slider window. I had clear in our last RV in the door and we put stained glass replica in. I like the light but don't want it clear, guess it's just me.

True. Mine is near the bathroom door, but not directly across from it.

We just ordered the window. For our model, there is a window next to the bed on the driver side, but the awning rod comes down on the passenger side, so there's no window on that side of the bed. This will, in our minds, make up for the lack of that window, offering additional ventilation. We may consider a shade after we see just how tinted the window really is for privacy.
