I hope you enjoy the trailer. But seriously, you need to weigh the truck and trailer and look at your tow ratings and axle capacities. The "Half Ton" logo is just a name to make owners feel better. Not many 1/2 ton trucks can tow a 5er of that size within the tow ratings and weight ratings.

The claim is made with a stripped truck and an unloaded trailer for the most part. The 24 RDS has a GVWR of 10,000 LB and will have a loaded pin weight of 2000 LB to 2200 LB. This alone will put you over the truck's payload or cargo capacity.

Not to pile more on, but Iceman has a good point!
Typically 5th wheels have a 20-25% of their weight as pin weight, i.e. 10000lb GVWR x 25% =2500lbs, there are very few 1/2 trucks with that much available payload.
Just FYI! The tow capacity vs the rv dry are 2 weights of absolutely no use in the real rv world, both are sales gimmicks.
Payload is NOT the tow capacity, it's the weight of everyone everything in or on THAT truck including pin weight & the weight of the hitch in the bed.
Look at the yellow/white tag on the drivers door jamb stating "occupants and cargo must not exceed XXXXlbs" that's the payload for THAT vehicle.
