Melted the trim by my exhaust pipe - what is it called?

I have a 2021 GMC Sierra diesel and like many others, I melted the front passenger side trim on my Raptor 425TS. I am going to replace my exhaust system with something that shoots out the side.

Does anyone know the name of the circled plastic trim piece?

Thank you!

Go to Trekwood.com and search. I think it will be a piece similar to the one in the screen shot below.

Gale Banks makes an exhaust tip replacement for the newer DuraMax trucks that turns the hot gasses to the side similar to what Ford does on their Super Duty trucks. My friend fried his Rock Tamer mud flaps and made the switch to the Banks mod. It was an attractive change to the factory exhaust tip.

On my previous diesel Chevy Silverado dually, I had a Rock Guard that attached to the (travel trailer) weight distribution hitch. It worked very well with that truck and trailer.

Then we traded trucks (same trailer) and the first time out with the camper, the exhaust pipe on the truck completely melted that side of Rock Guard. At the campground I removed the Rock Guard and tossed the entire thing into the dumpster. I never attempted getting another one again.

Those exhausts can be pretty hot. I'm glad you figured something out that works for you. It looks good. I agree, do the same on the other side to make it match. Nice Job!

Here’s the link I should have posted earlier to Bank’s web page for the exhaust tip change that solves the hot gas problem.

Before placing the order to Trekwood inquire about the shipping cost for those little plastic corners. Typically their shipping charges are highway robbery. Wouldn't be a bit surprised that the shipping for those $30 pieces would $30 or more.

I just recently replaced those trim pieces on our rig, got them from Trekwood, and the shipping wasn't all that bad. This is how it is described on their site: Trim - Lower Bulkhead - Drop Frame - .080 ABS - White Korad - Dbl Angle
I looked for those trim parts for your rig, but they are not listed. Your best option would be to call Jennifer at Trekwood and tell her what you are wanting and she can possibly get the part for you. 574-264-2505 Probably need to wait until Monday to call.

I’ve had to order window cranks from Trekwood in the past and the shipping is rough, but you have to pay to play! Buy a trailer they said, it’ll be fun they said. Haha

Received your PM which is noted. Thank you for your kindness. This particular piece is close, but not quite right. I have an email out to Trekwood and a few other members have some good input as well.

I just ordered the Banks exhaust that will push it out the side. Thanks for the info!

Thinking about ordering these even though they are listed for a Montana. I can paint them to match my trailer. Do you know the measurements of the set you ordered? My measurements are: small bend 3”, big bend 13.75”, small bend 3” (if that makes sense).

The ones on the Montana are about 13", maybe a bit more, bend to bend and a bit over 6" on both ends. Hard to decide where to measure at, but this is at the outer edge of the part. The black one appears to be the same as the white one I bought.
