Trailer tongue wiring

I have a 32 ft Bullet 284 RLS ultralight. On a recent trip I came around a corner and there was two foot of water on the road. Butt puckering time for sure. It ripped the trailer cord from out of the socket on the truck so I went ahead and changed out both the male and female cords. My problem is that there is a junction box on the tongue of the trailer and the colors on the new cord are different than the old ones. Anyone know what each of the 7 pins in the junction box go to corresponding wires on the 7 pin connector! All I got to work was the brake lights and keystone won’t give me any help with either a schematic or assist in identifying the lugs where the trailer wires and trailer cord come together

Here's the "generally accepted umbilical wiring diagram"... You can start with this and go from there. Remember: NEVER rewire your truck to match the trailer !!!!! If you do, it won't match any other trailer and you'll have issues towing anything but that "one special trailer" So, wire the trailer to match the truck (assuming the truck is OEM wiring).....

I have that info already. I am talking about the black junction box on the trailer tongue. Inside there are 7 lugs that have the wires coming from the trailer and the wires from the trailer male plug. Appreciate the attempt

Did you replace the trailer umbilical wire for wire with the new umbilical? Have you tested the truck connection and verified that it is supplying power? You may have blown some fuses if you pulled the wiring out while driving.

We replaced wire for wire but nothing but the brake lights would come on. I noticed when pulling trailer to get home that the running lights also came on when I braked so it’s not right. I know the color of wire according to the diagram of the 7 pin connector on the trailer(male) but don’t know which of the lugs in the black box go to what.

Thank you so much! That is exactly what I was looking for!! When I called earlier today keystone wouldn’t give me a schematic or wiring diagram for some reason. I repaired Dental equipment for 40 years so I understand looking out for your service techs.

What year is your trailer? Standardized wiring color codes have not always been in existence so just be sure.

Here's what's in my box. The terminals in my box are marked with the color of the wire that is landed on the terminal.

I have a 27' Bullet. Changed out my 7-pin cord this fall. Bought from e-trailer. Wired it up like it came off, but would not work. Finally - got a service man by phone. Reason would not work was a blown fuse in truck that occured when cord was cut... So wire it just like the old one .

Concur....the advice offered by RoadToad got me squared away a few days ago. Initially hooked up color to color in my junction box when replacing my 7-way pigtail cord and I ended up with the trailer lighting up like a Christmas tree when I activated a turn signal. Apparently there is no guarantee of universal wire colors. In my case I had to wire as follows:

Junction Box Green = Pigtail Brown (pin 3)
Junction Box Red = Pigtail Yellow (pin 5)
Junction Box Brown = Pigtail Green (pin 6)
Junction Box Yellow = Pigtail Red (purple) (pin 7)

Pins 1,2 and 4 were the only ones I could go color to color on. This was with a Bargman brand pigtail.

Not listed in Left or right order.
Not knowing the color code you trailer uses, I can not do that.
Listed by color that is in the Junction box in the photo of post #10
Use a test probe to determinr correct connectivity.
