Slider on 2017 Keystone Sprinter 5th wheel

Although slider tends to creak when opening, main concern is the lip on floor inside. Namely, one end (end where fridge is) is nearly touching the floor, while the other end near propane stove is 1" off ground. Should this be the case ??

I'd say 'no', but the cause could be any number of things. Are you sure the camper is level without a twist in the frame?

We're talking about a 5 or 6 year old trailer with a heavy gas/electric refrigerator on one end of the slide, no idea if the trailer has been "torqued or twisted" or if the frame is still relatively "in line, straight and level as it sits"...

Think about the slide construction, a 4 sided aluminum box with a 5/8" plywood floor (subject to being wet from below, repeated drying, warping from the weight of the refrigerator as the floor dries, and if stored extended faces a different "weight condition" than if it is stored retracted, with the slide floor not supported, but "hanging freely in the air"...

Essentially, from a functional perspective, if the refrigerator is level, if the slide, when retracted is sealed at the outside wall/slide flange gaskets and if the slide, when extended is sealed at the inside wall/slide flange gaskets, then I'd consider any "difference in measurements at the slide ends" as "personality of the individual slide"...

As long as the slide isn't riding on the vinyl flooring, not damaging the trailer or the slide during movement, seals properly when open and when closed, I wouldn't start "winging adjustments to make the measurements with a ruler look closer to symmetrical when it's closed"... Doing that (or trying to do that) may throw the entire slide out of alignment and you'll wind up with "sunlight in the corners" either when towing or when camping....

If it's functional, seals properly (extended and retracted) and doesn't hang up on anything while moving, I'd call it "working better than most 5 year old slides with a refrigerator in them".....

Thanks for the info. One side (is approximately 3/4 of an inch) further out than the other with this being the high end of lip on floor. Appears to not be fully extended? Having said that, it is indeed tolerable as no leaks when either in or out.

Often times, the "pretend wood fascia" around the inside lip of the slide is not square to the slide box. Sometimes, it may warp on the outer edge and bow/buckle to give the appearance of not being fully extended, when, in fact, the actual bubble seals are evenly compressed around the entire perimeter of the slide. It "becomes an optical illusion" in that the edges of the "pretend wood" don't sit evenly at top and bottom of the slide, so a ruler will "measure a difference" but the "difference" is not a "straight edge from top to bottom"....

Look at the actual rubber bulb seals. If they are evenly compressed and properly seal the slide flange to the trailer sidewall, any "ruler measurement" along the "pretend wood" is cosmetic, not structural or of any significance....
