Do you know the awning manufacturer and model? In the meantime, these videos on manually overriding an electric awning might be useful. Please let the forum know if that worked.

Might want to update your user cp ..list your year make and model of trailer and tow vehicle…makes it a lot easier to answer problems

Dometic, Carefree and Solara all have different "manual emergency procedures"... What kind of awning does your trailer (whatever it is) have ???

Without some information there cannot be any relevant context. It's like asking " how do I replace the radiator in my truck."

Except if the radiator can't hold liquids then you're calling a tow truck. The OP is asking either a theretical question out of preperation "just in case" or he's setting in a camper with an extended awning and is stuck. In either case, taking it to a dealer is not possible.

Not to be the antagonist but you can fold the arms in and zip tie them with the fabric hanging on the side.

I don’t suggest driving very fast….seen it come into the shop.
