Furnace is not coming on

Hello everyone

We have a 2014 alpine and the furnace is not working, We are hooked up to a 500 gallon propane tank that is still at 60%, I have disconnected the negative cable from the battery, pulled the fuse, waited about 10 minutes reconnect battery, put the fuse back in still nothing

Anyone have any thoughts on what could be wrong, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Gona be a chilly one this evening.

I thank everyone in advance for your time and consideration

Make and model of furnace? What does it do when you set the thermostat to heat?

There’s no response whatsoever when thermostat is set to furnace or heat or whether you raise the temperature or lower the temperature

If you turn the thermostat to fan/AC does the roof unit do anything? If it does, then the thermostat is probably good. It may be a couple different causes, are you good with a multimeter and can you get to the furnace wiring?

Yes sir the roof unit comes on when we switch it to ac
I have never used a multimeter, funny though we did just purchase one thinking we should have one. Yes the unit as well as the wiring are fairly accessible

You should have a large rectangular cover on the outside wall, remove it and you should find an on/off switch and a 15A resettable circuit breaker. If you have power there, then we need to look at the control board.

I would suggest taking the time to read the directions and watch some videos before proceeding. Some meters can be destroyed if say you have the meter set to ohms and you apply the test leads to 120vac. The meter is just a paperweight if you don’t understand how to use it.

2014 Alpine - furnace is controlled via CCC2 Dometic thermostat UNLESS previous owner has changed things..

The furnace gets its ON/OFF signal from the Zone 1 roof A/C control box... There are two blue wires that run from Zone 1 down to the furnace control module located on the furnace..

But before you start anything have you verified the FURNACE FUSE located in the inside power center? pull the fuse for furnace and put that new multimeter on Ohms scale and verify fuse is good..

If fuse is good and furnace isn't coming on then you can test furnace control board by jumping the two blue wires together.. If furnace fires up then you know your issue is either thermostat or Zone 1 control board related issue or wires down to the furnace ( two blue ones)

The CCC2 thermostat communicates across a telephone wire plugged into the backside of it that runs up to the two rood A/C control boards....

Let me know if you need further help TS.. I own a 2014 Alpine

Also the HP for Zone 1 does nothing at temps below 38 degrees...

Also since you furnace is an Atwood then once you pull furnace away from the wall to get access to the front you will see an LED on the furnace control board.. If the furnace is getting a signal from the roof Zone 1 control board then check the LED on furnace control board for fault code... if any is present...
