Right now I have two 6 volt golf cart batteries and a Renogy 2000 watt inverter I think from what I can tell I take a seperate negative cable and wire it from one of the negative battery posts to the B- of the shunt ? Then I wire the negative from the 2012 High country Cougar (the negative that goes to the body of the coach of my trailer) and the negative from my Renogy inverter to the P- on the shunt .
Is this correct ? I asked Renogy and they really couldn't tell me exactly ?
I just want to make sure that the negative wire that comes from the body of my RV goes to the P- on the shunt as well as the negative from the inverter ?
Lastly to program the monitor and set the amp hours on my Renogy battery monitor, my batteries that I have are two 6 volt golf cart batteries that are wired in series each one of my batteries are rated for the following: AH @ 20 hours is 210 to program the battery monitor do I put in 420 hours or 210 hours ?
Renogy customer service told me because I have them wired in series I do 210 ? The person I talked to did not even know how to wire it correctly so I do not trust what she told me and I want to have the battery monitor wired and program correctly.

you need to put the shunt on the negitive post of your leads at the battery so everything that leave or comes into the battery has to go through the shunt. you have the 6V wired in series so you are going to enter 210Ah when you set it up.
so basicly you need to buy a very short new negitive cable and remove the negitive cable that goes to your trailer from the battery. place the new one to the battery with the shunt on the other end, then take the old wire that goes to the trailer and put it on the other side of your shunt. then there should be a small positive wire that powers the shunt that you just put on the positive termanal.
there should be a picture of the set up in the manual.
