Sensors

Our sensors are showing as empty all the time, even when they are not. My husband is a skilled electrician so he wants to check the wiring under the RV to the tanks, however we cannot figure out the best way to remove the underbelly. Any suggestions?? Thank you in advance!

It depends on what rig you have and what year. That info must be placed in your signature area. Our rig has TEK screws that holds up the coroplast. Newer rigs have the coroplast held up with driven nails that have to be removed and then use TEK screws and washers when putting the coroplast back up. If all the tanks show empty, then your display could be bad. If just one tank, then you may have a broken common wire broken.

A bad ground will also cause empty readings.

We know what may be the causes and that the oroplast has to be removed. The question is how do we remove it if it is held in with the nails? They look too strong to be removed with a hammer like you would a regular nail.

Some have a twist and you can use a socket to wind them out, otherwise I just grind the heads and use a nail set to punch them through.
