Angry Defective window seals 2021 Passport

I purchased my 2021 Passport travel trailer in May of 2020. I took the unit into Holman RV, the selling dealer in November for winterization, warranty repairs and inspection.
The service rep called me today to say the window seals are shot and need to be replaced Price tag $800. Keystone said that window seals are a normal maintenance item and are not covered under warranty. I called the Keystone customer service department and received the same reply.
Now this is a unit I paid $21,000 for. Have owned only six months, and have only used five times.
Surely, these window seals, if properly installed in the first place, should need to be replaced after only six months!

I’m surprised they didn’t want to rotate your wheel bearings or do some other expensive repair. If the windows aren’t leaking, I’d never return to that dealer, even for a roll of TP.

Welcome to the forum

Which window seals? The one that seals it against the frame of the trailer? If so that is NOT a normal maintenance item, but rather poor workmanship at time of assembly. If they are talking about the trim piece that goes inside the frame around the outer edge of the glass, that’s just for looks and isn’t a “seal”.

I think you need to get more clarification from the dealer, post here and we can advise. Your best bet is to get away from that dealer never to return.

Isn't Holman RV the dealer that sells cheap nationwide?

OP the dealer is giving you the runaround. Be more specific about "window seal' but I don't have a single one on this new trailer that would be invalidated within the warranty period because they are a "maintenance" item. I would find someone else eventually but, being me, I would certainly put them through the wringer first.

In my opinion. About 4 or 5 years ago Holman RV started selling at rock bottom prices to establish a base then they built a new large service area with multiple service bays, waiting room and accessory sales store. Now they have to pay the bills, and the online pricing appears to be tempered a bit.

When I purchased a unit from them in 17 the price was so good Lazydays in Tampa would not match the price on an exact unit and let me walk. Went back once for service and never again, I'll do it myself. Here in Florida there are mobile RV repair services in the park daily.

BTW, went to the Tampa RV Supershow yesterday and may go back tomorrow. If you ever get the chance, go. Lazydays RV and General RV dominated the show with a few(very few) others. The day of the mom and pop operations are long gone. Surprisingly Camping World had a very small presence.
