Replace braking wiring
Has anyone had a young dog chew up the brake wiring? Including pulling it out of the axle?

You should not have named him "Sparky".
Sorry, could not resist. Wire damage is usually reserved for rodents. I am positive that your repair will be of better quality then the factory job. Hank

Usually puppies like to chew on their owner's shoes, not brake shoes.

Thanks! He’s named after Joey Longano. He chewed up the wires right before the Covid caused us to miss Texas motor speedway. It wasn’t in the cards. Wondering if anyone has had to replace those wires and the cost?

We really love him despite his love of wiring.

As for cost hard to say without seeing it. The wire pulled out of the axle is not a huge deal but if it's pulled out of the backing plates then the parts/labor would go up. I guess you will have to have a mobile tech come to you to effect the repairs.

We have zip tied duplex to the rear of the axles, to hard to “fish” the wires.

JOEY LAGANO? Oh Jeez. No wonder.
Just kidding, but I can't stand him. And he drives the Shell Pennzoil car, dang.
Can you see any of the wires coming out of brakes before they go inside the axle? If yes, then get some marine grade heat shrink butt connectors, from O'Reillys, a heat gun from Harbor Freight, and splice new wires zip tied to the back side of the axle like Chuckster said.
Liberty Hill Texas and Joey Lagano. Hmm.
I think my guy Tony Stewart and Joey are best buds.
Uh, no.
Look at it some more and tell us more of what ya got. We can get you there.

Don’t think I would trust a Harbor Freight heat gun. When My son bought one last year he called and asked “it’s not supposed to smoke when you use it is it?” Said when he returned it, the store manager said his was about the sixth one returned that week for that reason.

Both the one at home and the one in my tool box at work have been working flawlessly for at least 10 years.

I've bought 2 at HF, the cheap gun only & the deluxe model with attachments, both smoked the 1st couple of times I used them then no more smoke. The plus side is HF will replace it or a refund, no questions asked, that's better than Craftsman.

Sheila come on back. I won't agitate you any more about Joey.

i had some brake wires redone at a trailer sale/service. they just ran the wire outside of the bottom...they work fine.
You can do it your self it is pretty straightforward.
