I would check propane tanks, if one pigtail failed the auto switch over would still maintain gas to the trailer providing they both were full.

I hope they follow up the guessing is driving me nuts .... I know John, it's just a short walk so don't need to be driven.

I have faith that OP will be back with a follow-up. Kind of iffy if she might have the answer.

When I once made the mistake of running the water heater on propane when it was empty, it made a similar sound, though it was more of a bang than a pop.

Now I remember hearing those sounds!

If it was in my camper the popping, hissing, and other strange noises happen when I get up from setting too long. (old age).

5-24-2017. 2AM. Sound asleep. Huge explosion. I'm still hearing it when I wake up. I thought the TV exploded. Grab the nightstand gun. I'm hearing more noises like someone moving around in the den. Crack the bedroom door open. Glass all over the den floor. Back door caved in. Shut the bedroom door and tell Betty call 911 we have someone in the house. Dispatcher says "OK, we are right around the corner, be right there. Stay in the bedroom." That S&W 38 is feeling a bit inadequate. Well since the cops are on the way I'll peep in the den again. Nothing. Look in the front dining room. WTH. That is the rear end of a deer. Betty tell them its a deer. A what? A deer. Tell the cops to come to the back door because I'm not fighting a wild buck to open the front door. In a couple minutes the dispatcher says the cops are at the back door. I look out in the den and don't see the deer. The cops say there is blood on the back porch. The said shut the bedroom door and we will search the house. They did, no deer. It went out the same way it got in. Blood, mud, and glass everywhere. Clean up, replace the 38 with something more substantial, and got a new back door with much less glass.

Yes indeed. I assume he saw his reflection in the door glass. I would understand it in October during the rut, but May??
I now double check if the back gate is closed in the evening.
Replaced the five shot 38 with a 17 shot 9mm and a 20GA pump.
This summer I had a 5-6ft gator sunning in the back yard, and a couple weeks ago a coyote lounging around and scratching his ear.
Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge is my back yard.
I've been trying to post a pic of the back door and glass but apparently its the wrong format or something.

I'm getting the "loud pop", but what about that long "squeaking" noise like a balloon letting out air.....

That's my shoes squeaking. That's what I tell my grandchildren but they don't believe me either.

Piggies visited last night. The benefit of 9 well trained watch dogs is that they can sleep through anything. You would have thought at least one would have snarfled a little in his sleep.... The piggies were right under our bedroom window where the dogs all are asleep with us!

Don't you just love it when the OP never returns to let people know the outcome!

Yeah, but isn't it grand when the speculation just starts to "ramble" as we start to go from thinking about the obvious to the "not so obvious"??

So let's speculate just for fun. My guess is it was a "bean burrito and beer bomb" that no one would take credit for.
Next!

It was Bigfoot, only if they had a camera, light and checked. They could have finally gotten real evidence. That's my story.
