Onan 5500 spark plugs

Trying to finish up the maintenance on the generator. It’s in a 2015 325 fuzion. Oil change, air filter, fuel filter are all done. Can’t seem to find a way to get to the spark plug on the driver side of the genny. Curb side is straight forward (although a little bit of a PIA). Anyone else figure this out?

Thanks

Sean

Not much help, but a slightly amusing anecdote...I had a Navy buddy that inherited a 70's Ford Maverick from his grandma, damn thing had a 351 Cleveland in it. To my buddies knowledge, the spark plugs for number 7&8 were original from day 1 as they were impossible to access for a normal person.

Kinda like the older ford Bronco II ‘s. Seemed the only way was to drop the motor slightly. Some Engineers should be shot

Sounds like replacing the alternator in an 03 Cobra... they are bolted to the engine, under the driver's side, 4 valve head and then the engine is put into the car.

You have to removed a bunch of stuff, but it can be done, without moving the engine.

Even worse is the inner serpentine belt, for the water pump, power steering pump and AC compressor, it is behind the belt for the supercharger & alternator and the pulley for that is caged and a bi?ch to remove.

Will have to look into replacing that one day, but, hey it has worked for 16 years

Hozco, go here http://www.irv2.com/forums/f121/chan...-a-312640.html and it will at least lead to a starting place with some hope of success.
