2018 334fwfls gray water tank's?
Hi all I purchased a 2018 sprinter this past September. Haven't been able to take it out yet but am planning on it in March. The last couple of days I have spent sterilizing the water system and giving the RV a bath. After filling up the fresh water with the bleach mixture I ran it through the lines and into the Gray and black water tanks. While doing so I noticed the gray 1 and 2 were filling up using the panel lights. I assumed it was a wiring problem because I am only supposed to have 1 gray water tank (by specs). I drained everything, refilled the fresh tank to flush the system. Ran the water into the sinks, shower and toilet for a while then drained everything. I checked the panel and noticed one of the gray tanks is showing 2/3's the other empty. I only have one gray water handle but there is a place for another on with a gray water decal on the outside over the hole in the frame. Looking in through the hole in the frame I see the end of a rod about 6" in. Does anyone have any ideas? my next thing is to pull down the belly to see if I can see anything. I would appreciate any help I can get.

Sounds like the pull handle fell off. You can get replacement extensions at any RV parts store. They are threaded onto the valve, and I have seen my share fall off.
It should be a warranty repair, but depending on how far away your dealer is it might not be worth the fuel to drag it there. Extension kits are less than $20.00 and repair shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes. I would use thread locker on the new one. They come in different length rods so measure first.

You have 2 grey tanks. Front one is for the kitchen sink. At least in the 2017 that’s how it is. That’s same model we have.

I got an extension and installed it with loc-tite, it works as advertised. My question now is, the specs. state there is one grey water tank with a total capacity of 68 Gal. Now that I know there are two tanks should I assume that each tank is 34 gal. or what?

Since you know you have 2 grays, then yes it would be safe to assume they are 34 gal each. Specs may just list total capacity not number of tanks.

Just looked at the specs and it just indicates gray water capacity at 68 gals.
Common for all manufacturers to list total capacity and not number of tanks.
