I've used an exhaust brake extensively in my former motor home. It is the best thing since sliced bread! Going down 6% grades with the exhaust break on is a pleasure. My new GMC truck has a built in e-brake & towing my Laredo on these type grades will be easy. Also, the exhaust brake is a major help for emergency stops. You won't be sorry.....joe

I love my exhaust brake! I regularly go down a 7% grade and never have to use my breaks!

I have one on the dodge and it is great! (Dodge/Cummins Jacobs Brake, dealer installed......by me) As for easy to install, that depends how mechanically inclined you are. You may be able to download the instructions from the website and find out if it is something you can handle. Also, if you have an auto trans, there may be some things needed to be done to the trans to have the exh brake and trans work together. I have a manual trans so no problems. Well worth it.
