Wasn't the super cab the ones with half doors that open backwards? I thought they quite making that one because it failed the side crash testing. At least that what a salesman told me. but we all know how reliable they are?

Good looking truck - be sure to give us a review of how it tows over your previous truck

Ford still has the supercab with half doors that open backwards GM still does a double cab with regular type doors

Can't wait to tow with it for many reasons!

make sure you read your manual for proper break-in. I know ford says don't tow for 1000 and ram 500, not sure about the Chubby.

10-4 on that. I am an engineer so I enjoy reading manuals and then for important stuff if DW will be using/operating, I go over the pertinent points with her.

I will be training DW (co-pilot) on the electronics package so she can handle that operation when needed from the passenger seat.

I know Ford does that what I have. The Chevy salesman was trying to convince me that the Ford SuperCab was dangerous in side impact crash and Chevy quit making them looking out for my safety. The problem was Chevy double cab won't fit in my garage but the Ford SuperCab fit by a couple of inches.

Congrats on the new truck!! It looks good. I suspect you won't know your current trailer is even behind you. Unfortunately, you will be parting with a chunk of cash shortly (no, you won't be able to wait ) for a new 5th wheel Good luck!!

Starting reading the manuals (yes plural) last night and for towing, it is stated not to tow for the first 500 miles and then the first 500 miles of towing do not exceed 50 mph.

Might have to take the TT for some drives as I don't want to go from VT to RI at a max speed of 50mph in June for 1st camping trip of the season!

Wow. That's only a couple hundred pounds more than my 1/2 ton. Would have thought it would be higher.

Yeah, I think it has something to do with extra weight of diesel, snowplow prep and Z71 package (heavier shocks/springs), 36 gal fuel tank and long bed
