New from Missouri

Well, here we go again. Looking at a travel trailer. We are really leaning towards a 2014 , 293RKSSR, trailer. It will be quite a jump for us, as we had a 1996 Hi-Lo 22 footer. can anyone tell us pros and cons on this unit? Is a 2wd Ford, V8 1/2 ton a good tow vehicle? H-E-L-P!!!

Tom & Judy -

Before we can H-E-L-P, it would help us if you were to provide us with some information about both your trailer and tow vehicle. Look on the stickers where the specs (GVRW, etc.) for each are located and post them here. Based on the very limited information you have given us, it's difficult to give you any advice.

Thanks and welcome to the forum.

Note, I have moved your post into the Tow Vehicle section since you are asking a question about the capability of your truck.

I will add, when looking up ratings, be sure to find the load rating of the truck many trucks can pull alot of wt. but, unless you go to a 3/4 ton or larger the wt. that can sit on the truck can be a limiting factor. (Example only) truck has 1800 pay load. The tralier hitched up is 900 lbs, You now have 900lbs left for all folks, gear etc. in vehicle to stay within the rating of not being over loaded, unsafe. Not saying your truck will not work, it may, you really need the numbers to know.
