I will add, when looking up ratings, be sure to find the load rating of the truck many trucks can pull alot of wt. but, unless you go to a 3/4 ton or larger the wt. that can sit on the truck can be a limiting factor. (Example only) truck has 1800 pay load. The tralier hitched up is 900 lbs, You now have 900lbs left for all folks, gear etc. in vehicle to stay within the rating of not being over loaded, unsafe. Not saying your truck will not work, it may, you really need the numbers to know.
