Heng's Vent Hood

The light bulb burned out on the range hood and I took it out to match up at the store but then I misplaced the bulb and can't find it now. I know that it is a 12 Volt 10 Watt bulb. Does anyone know what the number is on this bulb. I would think it would be a number like the 921 that is used in the main lights.

At least misplacing the bulb can be contributed to a Senior Citizen Moment!!

My hood uses a 921 as do many others. Since it sounds like you don't think it is a 921, perhaps giving us some idea of what the bulb looks like would be useful. A pic would be great. It is kind of difficult to even guess what it might be based on what you've described so far.

If it looked like a 921, it most likely was.

Heg's Vent Hood

I tried putting the 921 in the hood but it would not stay in the socket. As I stated in the first post, I misplaced the old light bulb. If I can't find out which one it is, I may have to replace the socket to accomodate a 921 bulb.

If it is for the Passport, I can find out this weekend. Brother-in-law has a Passport 290????...Jim

The hanging light pendants over my counter in the 327 are 1076. Look at the socket. 2 contact points and one filament in the bulb, although you do not have the bulb.

Hang's Vent Hood

Was able to get it fixed with a handy screwdriver and pushing the contacts closer together to get the bulb to hod in. Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Same problem

I've been perplexed by this same problem. My bulb immediately burnt out and I've tried the 912, 921, etc. but they fit loose and fall out. I have the original bulb and it fits perfect but has no numbers on it. The other bulbs look just like it but fit too loose. I actually modified one bulb (921) by gluing a piece of plastic on one side of the glass so it would fit snuggly in socket. That did work for my last trip, but I'd like to purchase a legit bulb or two and not have to rig the bulb. This is a Heng Range hood and is in my new Passport 5th wheel. Any ideas out there? Thank you...

Update: I decided to bend the contacts as suggested and a 912 bulb now stays in place and works...
