Winterizing issues

My trailer dealer winterized my camper last fall and when I hooked up my water in the spring my on demand water heater was pouring out water and the water valve for my ice maker (residential fridge) was leaking. I have always done my own winterizing but i decided to have the dealer do it last year. They have repaired the ice maker valve and the hot water heater. I am a little gun shy having them do it this fall. Did they miss something when they winterized? they did the year before and I had no issues.

Sounds like you rolled the dice and got double six the first time and snake eyes the last time. Likely 2 different techs, one that was familiar with your trailers equipment and one that wasn't. No way of knowing whay you'll get again. Did they fix things without charging you?

I was taught if you want something done right do it yourself!
I think you'd be rolling the dice having someone different doing it every year with a 50/50 chance of the same outcome.
It's good they took responsibility & repaired their mistakes, but you still had the headaches of hauling to/from & the lack of use during those repairs, not to mention if you had not found til you're parked at your favorite camp site, that would've severely PO'd me.
I have no idea of where you had this done or the distance to that shop, but most likely you could've done the winterizing & dewinterizing yourself in the time it took to hook up/haul it to that shop & known it was done correctly the 1st time.

I agree with Danny, I've never winterized an on demand WH, but the whole affair is not that onerous. Learn how and do it your self,
But good on your dealer for covering their error.
