2012 5th Wheel Sprinter - converter location

I just purchased this RV last week, it did not come with an owner manual and I cannot locate it online.

However, the 12v Battery I just replaced 2 days ago and it is dead. The unit is connected to a 50amp electric service.

Can anyone share with me the location of the power converter or have you had a similar issue? If so, what was your finding?

Thanks in advance

Many times the converter will be behind the circuit breaker/fuse panel. There are two fuses on it, that’s probably your problem.

Let me ask another question has anyone remodeled the bunk house area of this trailer and opened it up by removing the wall and door and the bunk beds. I want to create an extended living area. Thanks

Bunks are pretty easy to remove, just need to access the screws that hold them in place. Walls can be removed as well, but take a little more effort to access the screws that hold them in.

Check the 2 reverse polarity fuses located either by themselves on the distribution panel or on the converter itself. In 2012 Keystone used black and white battery cables instead of red & black. The white is the negative and black is positive. If you as much as touch them to the battery in reverse those 2 fuses will blow preventing the battery from powering the trailer or being charged.

Post a pic of your setup please. Most have a cabinet/false drawer or something that that can be removed to get access. Sometimes you may just have to pull the panel.

Take the hinged cover off, then take the screws that hold the frame off. after that just look for the 4 or 6 screws that hold the entire panel in.

You can also probably remove the black screws on the side of the cabinet that retain that board trim piece and go in from the side.

You would think so but there is no access top or side. Strange setup.
