AC motor or capacitors?

I had made a post about my air conditioning making a humming noise a couple months back but I never got back to it because I was in a bad car head on accidentin I85 here in SC. Just able to get back to it I have an update, It is the low and high windings binding up, I bought new capacitors and my luck could not be that simple. It sure sounded like a capacitor hum and would briefly start and run with a good spin by hand until it got hot, making me think bearing. No slop in the shaft and it spun freely and smooth until it got hot. I checked the resistance and the difference was great. Well it sounds like a done deal but I just got my new motor in and it's not over yet. I did want to thank you guys for the info and opinions. I've had it 4 yrs and it's always something. I've worked on cars and machinery my whole life but this Laredo is a whole nother pain in the ....

Sorry to hear about your accident and hope you made a full recovery. The constant "PITA" from an RV sort of grows on you. If all of a sudden it stopped you might miss it!
