Water pump

Hello we had to replace our 10 year old water pump October 31 2020 when we closed it . Ought it out of town and installed it . Closed it .

Opened it May 29 and couple days later major flood . Husband saw hoses loose . Ok fixed .

This weekend I was painting and knees were wet … short of it .. the pump is leaking after the 4th weekend using it . It’s coming from the area I circled. Any ideas what to do ? There is a number I’m going to call tomorrow about it but any ideas ? Faulty ? All hoses are tight . Clamps everything good. Oh I was doing dishes and stopped , went to do another paint coat that’s when it leaked .

I am not familiar with that brand, but that spot you circled looks like the pressure switch. I just looked them up and it only appears to have a 90 day warranty. If it got wet and shorted out, it could explain why it quit. It could have frozen or the gasket or seal could have failed. Shurflo and Flojet are the more common brands and tend to have good performance and longevity (and longer warranties) if you decide to replace again rather than fix that one.

If the leak is the circled part I would toss it and get a Shure flo. We tried to “kill” one in the shop I used to work at, those pumps are TOUGH!!!

Just curious, when you closed up the camper for the winter months, did you winterize with "pink stuff" or just blow the lines with air? If you just blew, it's more likely there was still water in the pump and it froze, causing a break, and thus, a leak.

And yes, agree with the above posts, SurFlo and FloJet pumps are near indestructible.

Yes pink stuff . I’m going to call Niagara trailers tomorrow for a flojet as this one lasted not at all. If we drain the holding tank will that still
