Newbie

Thanks for accepting us into the group. My wife and I just bought a 2015 Raptor 300MP Toy Hauler, cans are pulling it with our Dodge 3500 Cummins Diesel.
We went from. Newmar Dutch Star diesel pusher to the Raptor.
Will be going to Tennessee from Michigan for our maiden voyage in 1 week. A little nervous going that far for our 1st outing, but excited also.
The only thing that is puzzling me a little are the automatic leveling jacks. Going to read the manual tonight to get a better understanding of them.
Thanks again for having us in your group.

Welcome to the forum. Take a minute to go to the UserCP and then create a signature with your camper year, make and model and same for your tow vehicle. Will save a lot of time if you have questions as this info gives context. Lots of advice will be coming your way but just drive safe and keep your camper between the lines!

Welcome to the forum.

I think you maybe thinking about the profile info when you joined. That doesn't show up on your posts. What George is talking about it editing your signature which does not populate from the profile.

Follow George's directions and don’t forget to hit save if you wish to add the information. It's by no means a requirement to use the forum. If yoy do choose to add a signature be aware that it may not show up on posting from some cell phones.

It says "signature disabled for this forum" and won't let me turn it on.
I'll keep trying.

If I remember right, it takes a site admin a day or two to approve “full membership” and then you can modify it. I couldn’t edit mine for a day or two.

I always wonder how camping in Alaska would be. If it gets cold enough to freeze my water hose, I am burning propane way too fast and find I didn't put enough water in the tank to last till a thaw comes. You guys are tough! I remember seeing that fella on Mountain Man walk from the lower 49 up to some remote area in Alaska and start a homestead; of course, he had a camera crew there, then a girl friend and then an airplane... anyway welcome!

Greetings and welcome to the forum!

One thing that might help you familiarize yourself with the operation and features of the new Raptor is to "camp out" in your driveway for a couple of nights. This can save a lot of angst when you depart on your first trip to Tennessee.

Congrats on the new Raptor, and have a safe trip!
