puck system on 2020 ram 3500

I have a 2020 ram 3500 with the factory puck system I will pull with a anderson fifth wheel hitch. I installed a curt drop in ball with the lever on top and the two ball bearings. My question is when you tighten down the bolt on top the anderson base will that bolt damage that lever on the curt ball. any feed back would be great. Thank you

I don't know if it will or not. I did not like that about the Curt at all for the Andersen and why I went with a B&W.

I have a 19 and the same ball and Andersen. No it will not. The pin for the Andersen goes below the bell of the ball. When you torque it down it actually pulls up on the ball. The bolt inside is not long enough to contact the top of the ball, plus you are pulling the inner tube up and the bolt isn't actually moving in distance from the ball. Like I said I have the same setup and no issues in about 5k miles of towing.

I had never checked into it but I didn't realize all the factory puck systems could use the same ball. That Andersen link doesn't discern between brand of truck.
