Hideout black tank plug.

Just bought our first travel trailer. 179lhs 2019 hideout
The unit did not come with a black tank flush so I installed an aftermarket tornado style. While installing I was tapping on the bottom of the never used working and I heard a rattling noise like something was jumping around inside.i opened up the toilet to look down and saw the cutout piece from the inlet flange had been dropped into the tank at the factory. This would’ve been much easier to remove at the time it happened in the factory instead of trying to remove 3 inch disc through a 2 1/2 inch hole. However with the aid of my wife’s tiny hands We were able to get it out.
This could’ve been a major blockage issue down the road when trying to dump the tank. Is this a common practice at the factory to cut it out and leave it in?

Welcome to the forum!! Over my years as an RV tech, I’ve seen it a number of times. Normal? No but at least you got before having to deal with it when the tank was full.

LOL! I think your spell checker has taken over your post with word replacement. The older I get, the harder it is to proofread my posts before sending.

I'm seeing it more and more everywhere, including news crawlers, news reports, etc. The Spell check is not a grammar check unfortunately. My college days were many decades ago but the Honors English course still dwells in some corner of the brain (unfortunately the synapse don't always connect ).
