I am thinking I will add a few gallons of water to my fresh water tank when I get to the camp ground. Then when I dump black then grey. I will put on the fresh water pump on and fill gallons of water in to toilet. Turn turn off pump and then dump the black again. This should work pretty good.

That seems like a workable idea to me. The extra water in the black tank would be helpful in diluting the solids. Also, the dish soap would assist in that regard. That is approaching the Geo Methodology.

Just don't get caught watering the trees by that method in most city/state/national parks or face a hefty fine.
If you dump it onto YOUR yard that's up to you, but it's still illegal most everywhere.
I know the grey water is not an issue dumping on the ground, but there's too many out there that think it's ok to dump the black as well. Actually saw a fellow doing the "cousin Eddy" in a Walmart parking lot storm drain. Another forum member fertilizes his 3 acre yard with it, YUK!

I would dump the gray water at around 12:00 am slowly, then in the morning close it and go on about my day, there should be no back side waste in your gray tank.

Question

Did I miss something? The original post asked if you can drain the gray tank into the black tank... not mix the tanks and lines together. The post that suggested draining the gray into a 5 gal bucket and pouring into the toilet was a good answer to temporarily rid yourself of a full gray tank.

Best to just go dump it. Easy, quick and it will smell better.
