Tongue jack and side out problem

Hello, I have a 2017 keystone bullet travel trailer. My electric tongue jack along with the slideout will only work when plugged into my vehicle. I've confirmed my battery is good and even tested with a new battery. Everything else works in the trailer off battery power, (lights, awning, water pump). I've followed the wiring from the battery along the frame to the point where it goes under the weather guard/barrier under the trailer and confirmed power. Not sure what else to do. Any ideas? Thank you

You've got two of these circuit breakers mounted somewhere around the battery or in the front compartment. One of them goes to the battery cutoff switch/converter system (you may not have a cutoff switch, so it goes directly to the converter) and the other one provides power to the tongue jack and the slide.

My guess is that you've got a bad 12 volt circuit breaker.

Thank you for your quick response. Those circuit breakers are located close to my battery along the frame. Mine do not have the black button on them. I've also confirmed there is power to both. Am I missing something? Thank you

Just want to confirm you have power to both coming in ....and out? Just want to be sure.

Yes,, power to both. I wish I could submit a pic but there is also a 15amp fuse that was blown. This 15amp fuse is connected to a box along the frame after the two circuit breakers you mentioned. I've replaced the fuse but can not confirm the connection is good. My tester will not light up. I've tested the fuse in other locations and have confirmed it to be good. Not sure if this has anything to do with my issue. Thanks again

What was the solution to this?

I am having the same problem, is it a bad circuit breaker?

You need to start at the battery with a test light. Then just follow the positive lead and test at the first connection. Keep the test light clamp on the negative post of the battery. Continue down the “path” until your light doesn’t light. That’s where the problem will be.

The electrical connection in your picture is for the umbilical cord to your truck. Check the items listed by others and confirm that the battery connections polarity is correct.

Both the jack and the slides need a lot of amps to work. If they work when the truck is plugged in, but don't work when disconnected, you are not getting full power from the battery. Just testing voltage will not reveal a bad connection. Try hooking up to voltmeter and activating either a slide or the jack. See how low the voltage drops. My guess is that if the battery is good and fully charged (needs to be load tested), you have a corroded or loose connection somewhere between the battery and where your truck wiring hooks into your 12v system.

I am going to replace the circuit breakers. My problem is a little different than the one of the person that started the thread. Mine simply doesn't do anything occasionally when I press the switch and whenever this happens, the jack stops working, the led light won't even illuminate. I can fix the problem by cycling the battery master shut off. So I think I likely have a bad circuit breaker.

Does anyone know what amperage the two circuit breakers are?

PRND, if you take the breaker off, look at the outside of the case and it will be stamped "in plain sight." Famous last words, of course. You probably will have to clean it up a little bit, but it will be there. Probably 40 amp, but don't bet even money on that. It will be there.....
