Shade repair

Any suggestions on shade repair? New cougar 30rli TT. And 2nd shade that has come out of the wall. It is the kind that is pleated and has a string on each side running through it. Seems like they made it a bit too tight and the tension pulled it out. Just. Screwing back in didn't work as it is stripped. I was almost thinking Gorilla glue

The "bottom button" on the blinds needs to remain "adjustable" It is the means by which you adjust the tension on the blinds and once they won't stay up, you'll have to add more tension to that button. So, gorilla gluing it in place will set you up for sure failure when that string stretches a bit.

Alternatively you can use a larger screw (not longer, larger in diameter) or if you want a more reliable repair, you can buy threaded jacknuts at any hardware store. Remove the screw, drill the appropriate size hole where the screw was stripped, install the jacknut then use a machined screw to secure the button in place.

We just replaced all the shades in our 5er with mini blinds. We can pull them down to block the sun, but still be able to see out.

Just an FYI, when you go to the tagged website above your picture, it brings you to photobucket but then a bunch of spam scams pop up. The “you Wonka $1000 amazon gift card” etc ones
