Question regarding my loose ladder???

Went down to our Ace Hardware. They had the butyl tape so I am starting that process.
I will be removing all the old tape. Sure that is mandatory step? Would you redo all the mounts or just the loose ones? The mounts on the outside seen to be snug or at least the first mount on the back is not loose. Just checked and none of the outside mounts are an issue.
Then in a day or two I can stop by our dealer to check on the dicor.
Really, REALLY appreciate all this knowledge that is available here!!!

In fact in checking, only three mounts are in question. The two roof mounts and the upper inside. That makes me feel better.

Trim the excess off before you apply the Dicor. The Dicor won't seal if it's just in the tape, it needs to contact the metal of the plate and the rubber of the roof. Don't be shy with it!!

Yes, Dicor is your friend. Use plenty, be very neat, take your time.....San Diego State doesn't come to town until late Saturday!

So I will remove the tape that I had covered the plates with and then I guess I layer on the dicor to cover the rubber roofing and everything in between. And I didn't realize that the doctor came in a tube.
Thank you.

You want the tape between the plate and roof surface. Then trim what squeezes out after putting the screws in. Then cover the entire plate with Dicor.
