Lug nut torque spec 2014 Avalanche 330re

Wanting to check lug nuts before a pull the trailer out. I have Sendal TV aluminum wheels. I checked there website and couldn't find. Any. Looked in my Dexter axle owners manual and found 90-120 pounds for an 8 lug wheel. Does that sound about right for an aluminum wheel?

Actually it depends on the size of the wheel studs. 1/2" stud which usually has a 3/4" or 13/16" lug nut torque required is 100#. I believe you are right with 90 - 110#. Call a tire shop if in doubt.

The Keyston manual that came with my Impact 303 states that for 1/2" studs 110-120 ft. lbs. of torque. 9/16" studs...140-150 ft. lbs. This is also suppose to be done in three steps....all the way around the wheel at a lower torque (I forget the numbers), then around the wheel again at a higher torque setting, then the final torque that is listed above. It also states to use their numbers and disregard the numbers from Dexter or Lippert if that are different from the Keystone numbers.

I stand corrected. The accepted torque for 1/2" is 100# and 9/16" is 140#. Individual values may vary by manufacturer.
