Copper tubeing?

Had a blowout yesterday. Ripped out the copper LP gas line to the refer. Don't have pipe cutter and flareing tool with me. Would it be OK to use one of those flexible store bought gas line used for home stoves and heaters?

As a temporary fix, if the ends fit the answer is yes.

Things got worse

We are about to leave Yellowstone. The fact that I would be on the road without gas refer for 6-8 hours a day was not acceptable. I removed the copper line, didn't have my flaring tool or pipe cutter with me. Took it over to the Yellowstone car and RV shop in the park and he cut the pipe where it was kinked and reflared it for me.
Reconnected the gas line, found an electrical tingle on the gas line. Turned off the ac, turned on the gas and it fired up. Excellent. Turned off the gas, turned on the ac, nothing. Turned off the ac, turned on the gas, nothing, now I am leaving in a day or two, if the RV shop cañt fix it, I will have to drive 1800 miles without a fridge!
There is 120v to the refer çontrol board , there is 12v to the çoñtrol board. There is no 12v DC coming out of the çoñtrol board.. I checked the two fuses on the cirçut board, they are góod. I did a continuity test on the plug, gives open circuit. There is a thermistor on the board, haven't çhecked it yet, I have checked all the fuses and breakers on the çonverter, all good.
Has anyone runinto this before?

The tingle is called "hot skin" - are you sure that it's just on the copper line? I noticed it on our RV when I got the middle of my sweaty arm on the frame. We were plugged into a garage with some pretty old wiring. The most common cause is an outlet (assuming you were plugged in) that isn't properly grounded. If it's there when plugged into a properly grounded plug, something is wrong.

Were you plugged in at the time or on the generator?

I don't have advice for you on the refrigerator.. Maybe if you provide your model of fridge, someone can point you to the troubleshooting manual?

Well it took a while, but it is now fixed. I bought a new copper pipe, covered it with plastic loam and wrapped that with electrical tape. I also bought a new pipe cutter and flare kit. I put on New fittings. After replacing the tube, still nothing. I was about to order a new control board, when DW convinced me to bring it to the dealer. They diagnosed a blown thermal fuse. With labor $106. Not bad.
Got it home, worked great on ac. Gas lit off, but refer would not cool off. I started taking a closer look, the gas jet was not lined up with the flue, the bracket was bent. After doing some disassembling, I was able to straighten the bracket and correct the alignment.
Works great now.
