2017 cougar 21rbs front cap

I got a mouse under the front cap of my travel trailer. I am currently sealing the opening under the cap so it doesn't happen again. Just wondering if anyone knows what exactly is under the cap, is it open to the trailer? Could mice get into the ceiling of the trailer?

Mice CAN get into the ceiling of a camper; there are lateral trusses but some have penetrations for wiring so if you get some camper-scamper in the roof, keep in mind they do come out to eat and poop and can likely be dealt with.
