Dinette 2021 Outback 260UML

Problem getting table to drop down at the dinette where it needs to be to make the bed. Seat cushions are permanent and do not come off so table does not go past the cushions. Need help or need a different dinette installed. No one seems to know what dinette i am talking about. They have lights under them at the floor. Help! Purchased so I could have grandkids sleep over.

This is just a guess, but it looks like you remove the back cushions, lift the seat cushions, lower the table then place the back cushions on the tabletop to fill in the "mattress space".

Dinette cushions open from the back forward towards the table for storage. They don’t move out of the way. Very confusing on why they would make it this way. I would understand if the table moved out and then slid under the cushion but it is attached to the wall.

It sounds like you have the same dinette that our Outback has. On ours, the seat cushions overhang the edges just enough to prevent the table from lowering all the way down to make into the bed, UNLESS, you squeeze the cushions back away from the table edges to allow it to get by the cushions. If your cushions are extending more than 1/4 - 1/2” into the space for the table then the cushions need to be unattached and moved back against the dinette backs. Your Dealer should correct the problem for you under warranty.

The seat cushions are screwed to the hinge that allows them to be raised to access the storage underneath. What I did was remove the screws holding the cushions, lower the table top down, stand the cushions up on their edge on the table top, and against the hinge, then reattach the screws. Hope this information helps you.
