I tow a raptor 429 with a f-250, it's under gcvwr so you should be fine if your truck isn't heavily loaded with stuff.

Ding ding ding! You wins this week's MOST OVERLOADED TOW VEHICLE AWARD. 45' and 19000 lbs gross weight will do it for a 3/4 ton pickup.

"You should be fine" isn't very good advice to be giving when you're most likely extremely overloaded.
For anyone contemplating this setup, DON'T!
Pulling it all day long you will be fine!
Safely carrying the load within the weight limits of a 3/4 ton is a whole nuther thing all together, you WON'T be fine!!!!!

And there are the weight police, you all should be asking more questions before jumping in on what you think is right.

2020 f-250 with hctp has a payload of over 4000lbs. So not overweight in any way. Thanks though!

Payload is 4572 gcvw is 30k also 19k is the trailer at max loaded weight. Not normal travel weight for most people unless headed to boondock for a week plus.

Payload of 4,572# would a curb weight of of less than 7,000# for the truck. I believe that the max GVWR of the “F250” is 11,500#.
So it is really a F350 debaged to F250, just Ford playing the class and numbers game again.
Is the 4,572# payload from your yellow door jam sticker, or a brochure? That would seem to require a 12,400# GVWR.

Perhaps if you would have disclosed that YOUR truck has the rare HCTP option than folks may not "jump in". It a rare option because very few people want it, most folks just buy the F 350. Here's the issue with your statement about "you should be fine" someone reads that and thinks "gee, if he's good then that just validates that I'll be ok with my 2500 lb payload to". So without making a disclaimer don't lead someone to beleive their horse is the same as your zebra.

So, because you have the illusive Unicorn everyone with a Shetland pony can carry the same load as you.
In Texas we call that a load of horse crap. 😁

Well, I just gotta chime in; post the pic of your payload sticker. 3/4 ton with 4500lb. payload? Pic please. Even with the HDPP package I'm not aware the 3/4 has a capability like that....I could be wrong....but probably not.

From the horses mouth: Payload on a 2020 F-250 2,462 to 4,323 lbs. Standard cab XLT with zero options. You have crew cab? Oops. You have a Lariat? Oops. 7.3 V-8? Oops. 6.7 diesel? Oops again. It doesn't take long before that four digit payload number starts with a 2.....

12-15L semi truck. That weight around 20k. Can haul 80k. 4 times his weight. I know all trans , gear ratio, suspension etc. Numbers are made to make money.[out.of."u"] like everything else including ford. Tow carefully with some brains will get you further than these [made up] numbers...

I have never owned a 19K lb. fifth wheel. Wouldn't the real world payload of pin & passengers & hitch and junk be closer to 5K lbs???

From the "horse's mouth" (FORD): These photos are from a 2020 F250 with the HCTP option ($1130 option). Requires 6.7l diesel, not available with 9900/10000 GVW package or with any gas engine option. (requires 10800 GVW).

The "truck that these weight stickers came from" has the maximum 10800 pound GVWR (the highest GVWR that Ford certifies in the F250 series). Payload is 2835. That's 1737 pounds less than the 4572 posted previously.

WHAT DID FORD DO TO ACHIEVE 1737 POUNDS OF PAYLOAD IN A F250 THAT'S NOT IN THIS F250 ????? I want to understand how this is possible so I can order a similar truck.....
