1 1/2 inch drain pipe, what is it?
Would anyone on here have any idea what the small 1 1/2 inch drain is on keystone trailers? I have a new Alpine and see this drain after the termination valves. I had wife dump water down every drain and also washer drain and no visible water to be seen. It has me puzzled. Any ideas ? Almost makes me want to remove belly pan and see where it comes from. Thanks

I’m not 100% but it may be your freshwater tank drain.

That might not be it, I’m just guessing what else there could be a drain for. Mine has the same mechanism as if it were a sewage pipe, but mine is a white pipe.
I think it’d help a lot if you had a picture.

That is the freshwater drain on my camper. I love it. I can drain 60 gallons in no time at all.

Mine is a separate vertical drain. It has a white handle. I may have misunderstood the op. If so I apologize.

That will be one of your grey tanks, kitchen &/or bath. There should be a valve, probably hidden up under the RV, to pull & drain that tank/tanks.

I agree with Danny. Looking at the photo you posted, the drain comes from the area directly over the forward axle and is routed forward to the sewer connection from the bathroom area. The 3" elbow that "heads forward" goes to the "Y" that connects to the bathroom gray tank (1.5") and the black tank (3") both of which are to the left in your photo.
That 1.5" drain that you are concerned with is from your galley gray tank. There should be a valve with a Bowden cable that is either in your convenience center or is along the roadside frame rail just forward of the front axle on the road side of your trailer. To verify, empty the galley gray tank, close the valve, run water in the kitchen sink for 4 or 5 minutes, then open the valve, you should get a rush of water. That'll verify the kitchen sink drains into the tank that's controlled by that valve and that valve, when opened, drains the galley tank (through that 1.5" drain line).....

Appreciate the info. Just couldn't picture a grey tank hooked to it. I have two grey tank cables and of course the black tank cable inside the convenience center. I guess without really seeing the valves it threw me for a loop trying to figure it out. Thank you gentlemen.

That G tank has to be above where it goes up under the belly above those wheels. Our older Alpine has a separate handle near the black tank handle and another kitchen drain valve handle just about where the smaller elbow is making the turn on yours but ours are all under the belly with just a flexible 10 footer that sits in a tube that pivots out from under the trailer where your drain connection is. If the same there is a tiny label on the trailer side where you have to reach under the trailer to find the handle.

The 1 1/2” pipe is the GRAY WATER TANK DRAIN. Not the fresh water or anything else.
