Marker Light Removal on Passport 2028BH

If this has been asked prior please forgive me or point me to the right post.
I searched and could not find exactly what I needed.

Just purchased a 2020 / 2028BH GT Passport.

Bought the Furrion vision side cameras as well.

Just trying to figure out how to remove the marker light the camera will be replacing.

Does the cover on the marker light just unsnap or will i need a small flathead to remove the cover?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum

The marker light lens is a snap on so you can just pry it off. You should find two Roberts head #2 screws holding the assembly on. One side will probably have two sets of wires, to power the other side. Make sure you install the cameras with the "pairing" button on the bottom side.

Thanks.
The only issue i see is that my marker lights are vertical on the passport and the Furrions are horizontal.

Any suggestions for this particular situation?

Just mount the Furrions horizontal ? What screws and do I need to apply any silicone around the light if I go this route?

Sorry for all the questions. Super new to this.

If the marker lights are vertical, you can mount the camera horizontal, and then fill the old screw holes with color matching silicone.

If the exterior wall is filon, I don’t believe you need to seal.

Thanks.
Looking at the current light there is clear silicone around 3 sides.
Im guessing the silicone is RV specific.

Unfortunately im an hour from the closest rv store.

Would Permatex Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive work just as well for now?

If its a non hardening silicone, Its probably not RV specific but used a lot in the industry. Any silicone will work, Just be sure the surfaces are CLEAN!!

If it's like the rear Furrion backup camera with marker light attached you will have to remove the marker light. You connect the side camera to those wires from old marker.

Thanks.
Should i use butyl tape underneath?

The light/camera appears to have a thick rubber piece under the base.

It is just like the rear camera.

No tape needed. The rubber plate is the gasket that seals.
