Best battery Disconnect
I was wanting to purchase a battery disconnect so I don't keep having to take the positive cable off. Any thoughts out there for the best one that will fit under the case top.

I use Blue Sea for everything electrical. You can go cheaper but not better.

I don't have anything specific to that area on me. I happen to have a pic that is close to that area. I can take a better pic later if this doesn't work.

I'm planning on installing one myself. From what I can see my battery box has very little clearance on the side and only about an inch on the top. The switches that if seen have posts at least 1 1/2 inches which would not allow the top of the cover to seat, unless I really tighten the strap, then the posts would be jamming the top of the battery. Is your battery box oversized? Side mount would be great. I'd love to see a pic with the top off. I'm guessing the switch you used does not have the posts extruding but recessed .

All of the wiring for the switch is done on the outside of the box. The only clearance needed inside box is for the bolt head (very minimal). I ran 18" of wire from the + of the battery to the switch. Ran the original wire that was on + of the battery to the switch.

Thanks for the pic. Looks clean and professional. No rush on more pics but it would be helpful at some point.
Did you connect the switch to your positive or ground cable? I have two 6v batteries, I think I would put the switch between the ground and battery.
Also any reason you got the two switch vs the simple on/off switch?
Thanks.
Edit: I missed your follow up post, I see you connected to the positive end of the battery. Thx.

Battery Switch
Very cheap, Amazon was like $12.00 or so. I had other mounted directly on the battery, however didn't like the arching that I heard when switching.

I connected it to the positive on the battery. I had 2 very similar switches on my boat for two batteries (one with an isolator). I used positive on both.
I purchased the 2 battery version, since there's a good chance I'll add a second battery. Also, the price was very close to the single when I purchased it.

When you mounted the switch did you use flathead screws and run them from the inside out to make sure they didn't cause issues rubbing the battery? Thanks.

I didn't use flathead screws, but I did run them from the inside out. You can probably see the nuts on the outside.

So I purchased this battery disconnect and it is too tall for the lid to close on my box. Anyone know of a bigger box to buy or an idea to make it work

I just purchased another $7 unit similar to the Harbour Freight one above, but with removable key. Our last one gave up after 3 seasons, but sitting exposed all year, I wouldn't expect much more from even an expensive unit.
