USED Cougar 31SQB or Jayco 31DSLB or NEW Passport 3220BH?

The popular lightweight Passport 3220 has the perfect floor plan, weight, and price for our family of 5 but I am really concerned about quality & longevity. Recently we looked at a 2006 Keystone Mountaineer which appeared to have the same sidewall construction as the newer Passports. All of the decals were peeling off and overall the components did not appear to hold-up nearly as good as 2006 Outbacks & Jaycos. I also viewed a used 2012 Passport with peeling decals - the decals were the worst I've seen in any 2012 TT... I also thought I noticed some delamination on the top front - what appeared to be a small bubble... IMO clearly the Passports are not as well-made as the Outbacks....

I'd buy an Outback, but unfortunately Outbacks with similar floorplans are too heavy... (We have a 2011 RAM 2500 ST crew cab with a tow rating of 9,100 & load capacity of 3,000) Therefore we are seriously considering a used Cougar 31SQB or Jayco 31DSLB (2011-2012) which still have a bunk room that will work for us but are closer to 7,000 empty.

Can anyone weight-in on the quality of the Cougars vs. the better Outbacks & the lesser-quality Passports? At the moment I am leaning towards the Jayco, but the Cougars appear to be a fairly good product with a longer track-record than the Passports... I would also consider a Laredo or Bullet but have to watch the weight on those too.

EDIT: I'm starting to like the Bullet Premier 31BHPR because it is still affordable & lightweight but has the better front cap & arched ceilings... Seems to be a popular model on this forum as well which means lots of support should I encounter any problems.

Decals are a recurring issue across the forum, not just with the passports, ours isn't old enough to determine long term quality, but so far we are really happy with it. There are other passport & Cougar owners who I'm sure will chime in.

Looking at the Bullet Premier 31BHPR w/ Paint Upgrade

Online I looked at a couple used Bullet Premier 31BHPR with the factory paint upgrade vs. decals. The paint looks really sharp. For about the same price as a new one with the decals I can get a 2 year-old with the better paint.

Does anyone know if you can still order a new one with the paint upgrade vs. decals?

I don't recall seeing any options regarding exterior finish on the Premier we have on order. In fact, the only options they list are
  • 15k A/C
  • 50-amp service
  • RVQ Grill
