Sealing area below bed?

I put some "Fresh Cab" mouse deterrent in the basement pass-through storage. I couldn't fall asleep that night due to the odor. I know from the "Fresh Cab" website that you shouldn't put it near living areas. When DS12 and I lifted up the bed to check the under-the-bed storage, we realized that you can also access the pass-through storage area. The odor was seeping through the seams and/or the boards that hold the mattress. It was made even stronger as it went through my CPAP machine!

Can I seal the boards? Is there some product I can use where the boards below the mattress meet the walls to seal the odor out. I want to be able to mouse-proof the storage area, but not have the odor seeping into the trailer itself.

What trailer do you have?

From the looks of my pass-thru storage, sealing would be a real challenge. If I wanted to *really* seal it, I’d box it in. Because of the framing and boxing over the power outlets, I’d get 8-foot paneling and attach it to the walls and ceiling from end to end and then caulk all the edges.

However, it’d be better just to seal up any gaps to prevent mouse infestation in that compartment so you won’t need any repellant or traps.

Sorry, thought it was in my sig.2010 Keystone Outback Sydney 310BHS.

I had hoped to seal from the bedroom side, not the storage side.
