We spent several days at "The Camp at Cloudcroft" which is actually in Mayhill, NM. Nice place to stay. Pretty scenery, nice people, super clean bath houses. It's about half way up the mountain, about 15 miles from the village of Cloudcroft. I highly recommend this place.

Thanks for posting. That is in my neck of the woods and have been by it probably a million times. Since we had a house in Cloudcroft there was no need to think about a campground. As we began selling that house I stopped in there to assess staying with the camper and they were nice folks. Only thing is better bring lots of groceries if you're going to stay a while because it's a LONG way to a real grocery store. Mayhill Cafe is nice. I think we'll give it a whirl.
