Question 324cg modification

We have a 2020 324cg and would like to utilize the loading ramp as a patio. Has anyone done that. I cannot find a gate kit for it. ...just asking

As I understand it, Keystone installs two different Lippert garage door assemblies" on their toyhaulers. The one is "reinforced to support weight expected in the patio configuration" and the other is "not reinforced and will not support the weight of using the door ramp as a patio"....

I believe the ones that are reinforced are shipped with awning "fence rails, patio steps and gate" while the ones that are not reinforced do not have those items and those doors can not be retrofitted to configure a patio...

If I understand your post, you have a "toyhauler with a garage door/ramp" and want to reconfigure it to stand horizontally as a patio??? If so, contact your dealership before spending any money. The dealer can look at the part numbers on your trailer ramp and determine if it's reinforced to support a patio configuration.

Seems odd that a Patio door would be reinforced but a toy hauler tailgate / ramp would not? Almost seems backwards... imho

Did you figure this out?
I use cabinet jacks under mine and haven't had any issues. I bought 2 pair. I use 1 pair if were only using it for a table or for the dog. I place the 2nd pair half way if I'm using it for people. I believe the cabinet jacks are good for 150' each.

Ron, we've never seen a patio kit for a little ramp like is on a side entrance. Is there a screen included in your side entrance? Maybe a pull-down located above the ramp?
I don't see a problem with the ramp handling the weight of two people on the ramp drinking coffee or whatever, but you don't have room for four people and chairs in a 4 1/2 by 8' area so why worry. At motorcycle rallies we usually see people with the rear ramp down being supported by 2 long home-made saw horses. I believe you will have to use your inherited ingenuity to devise the fence.

We use ours in that configuration more as a table or a spot for the dog. You can fit 2 people facing along the camper but not really out from the camper.
