Bryan IMO you are making a great choice. Hopefully you can get there and tag that truck before it "runs off". It will be a great towing "machine" and....those so called "bullwinkle mirrors"......awesome!!

Good luck and I hope it meets your expectations. Sounds lie you'll be enjoying excess payload capacity with room to grow in the future!

His payload probably increased by a couple thousand pounds.
And we are talking full sized American trucks ..not cars,....it probably wouldn’t fit on the streets in Holland

Lets call it vehicle . But probably payload more, but if Heavy_Chevy gives his specifications, it might prove not that much more.

His car would fit on my driveway.
Dont know how to get the pictures right way up.

You can try and edit the picture to a smaller format/resize it ...sometimes that works for me. Or rotate it to the left or right then preview the changes to see if it corrected it

Seriously, you need to look up the numbers between an older 3/4 ton truck and a new 1 ton dual rear wheel truck. This is not Europe and these are not European or Asian made pick up trucks. The difference in the load capacity WILL BE THAT MUCH MORE.

Well almost the same as I have, we tow a 13,000# 5er and compared to our 2001 Ram, it is light years ahead. ours has a 5,411# payload and a tow rating of 25,000#+, and I need to check the mirrors to be sure it is still attached.

Yep. Payload is More than double my old 3/4 ton. Trust me, first thing I checked when shopping. Old truck’s motor and trans had no issues pulling or stopping once I got the hitch dialed in, just had no payload leftover.

For reference guys, a new GMC Sierra AT4 Duramax 2500HD has a payload of 1800!! I couldn’t believe it either. Also, a 2018 Silverado 2500HD z71 Duramax had a payload of 2200. Both less than my 2005 big block at 2600 lbs.

Dealers have absolutely no idea what payload is or how towing weights affect it. Every one I asked quoted the tow ratings and had no idea where to find it. Had to show them. The salesman who was also shocked at the new trucks low numbers said, “I’ve never had anybody ask or look at that sticker. Guess you’re better off with your old truck!”

And then I left and started looking for gently used diesel 1 tons.

Then give
pictures of same plates as your opening post.

Old was
Payload 2644 lbs ( from tire sticker)
GVWR 9200 LBS
GAWR F 4670 lbs
GAWR R 6084 lbs

From this I calc 9200-2644= 6556 lbs empty weight.

Uhhh ...ahem......this is the truck you want proof of payload capacity???
Of all the battles on the forum you could wage, you choose to demand to see a Ram 1 ton dually payload capacity sticker?

I think your barking up the wrong tree lol..
All the 1500 and 2500 arguments we have on the forum as far as payload capacity and this is what your questioning?

I think you may be trying to solve a problem that WAS solved by buying the truck in question.
I have the same truck basically and the payload is over 5000 lbs

Here’s mine 2020 ram dually. Same truck but mine has 8ft bed
