2011 Keystone Residence wall stud question?
Does anyone know what the studs are made of on the outside walls of a 2011 40 foot Residense park model? I want to hang a tv in the bedroom on a wall bracket.

If your exterior is filon, my bet would be aluminum framing. On a cool morning, moisture will collect on the wall and “show” you the framework.

It wasn't until 2016 that Keystone started offering the optional "laminated sidewall/FILON exterior". Prior to that, Residence trailers were wooden sidewall construction with "handlaid fiberglass insulation" and corrugated aluminum siding. They are all (prior to 2016) constructed with 2x2" wooden studding in the walls. That means an insulation factor of R-7, single pane windows and variable roof/floor insulation, depending on the year, but typically R-16 floor and R-20 ceiling. Later models have improved R-values, but none offer significantly improved R-values, you can only pack so much insulation in a 2" wall thickness.
I'd say your walls are constructed with 2x2" clear spruce studs.

Good deal. Now you can sit back and watch that guy on Jeopardy as he's over 2 million dollars won.

Glad you got that tv hung where you wanted it.
I agree with Fishsizzle, John could take down James but he would not know what to do with the money .... He already has too many toys.

We'd have a "fighting chance" with categories like that. It's the geography, math, chemistry, art/literature and "old European nobility" that would "deep-six" most of us......
