I got my trailer back from the dealer !

So after 2 months at the dealer I finally got my trailer back on the 30th of November.

Keystone came through and covered the cost of the repair. 50 hours of work.

As promised I have included the pictures of the end result. (still does not have decals as they had to be ordered and I will be installing) as well as the dealer instructions from Keystone.

Some of the pictures are before the repair and after.

Time will tell if the crack has been fixed.

Cheers
Bill

Looks like to me if "frame flex" is causing this issue then somebody needs to step up on the frame strength. I have complained to my dealer several times about the amount of movement in the pin box vs. landing gear when hooking up but they say movement is normal, but how much is normal?? Has me worried now because my is a 2014 model.

It appears by the detail in Thr repair instructions that this has been a fairly common issue. Just wondering if Lippert is applying this fix to their new frames.

I have the same problem with our Alpine. Hit some heavy frost heave a few years back and then it started to flex. We took it to the dealer and they opened it up and welded in a gusset, which helped until we hit some frost heave again. Then it was an insurance claim and we took it to a heavy coach repair facility who kept saying the flex was normal so they never repaired it. We'll it didn't do it when we bought it so it must not be normal. Now I'm just waiting for a big failure and we'll go back.

Had a 2011 318SABWE that had a crack in the pin box. No warranty and no dealer closer than 2hr. away. Hired a stuctural welder locally in the valley here and $150 later all fixed and no more problems for the time we had the 5ver.
