Factory AC in 2015 311 Impact

I just found out tonight that both A C use the same duck through out the RV. I leave the garage sliding glass door open and run the garage AC and its doing a good job cooling the Texas heat and humidity. Before I had the garage sliding glass closed not knowing half my air was tramped in the back. It seems odd both AC share the same duct work. It works all that matters.

It's very common for RV's with multiple A/C units to use the same ducting. I have worked on 40' class A's with 3 A/C units and each one will blow air out of all the ducts.

I have found for the most part that units pre wired for the bedroom unit will have ducting that is just taped off.

Thank you chuck for the information. I posted a problem in some other thread about AC , I found out my problem is operator error like most of the stuff with my Keystone .

I just installed a second unit in the garage of my Impact 311. There is no thermostat for that unit in the back, but there is wiring for a duel thermostat, which I did not use. All of the ducting was taped off and I left it that way just using the fins and controler from the ceiling mount. It works great that way and helps cool down the trailer pretty quick when you leave the slider open. If I have company sleeping in the garage, it is great for them when they close the slider.

I have a thermostat in the garage. I run both AC with the garage vents closed to cool the living area. I then turn off the bed room AC to take my naps .
