New Member- TX Fam of Five

We just picked up our Hideout 272BH. This is our first real camper, our old truck camper at the deer lease doesn't count. Now that the boys are getting older and going hunting with me more, it was time for a bigger camper. We got our 2015 Ram 3500 Cummins 4x4 pulling it. Got a good run out of it when we picked it up. We bought it from a dealer in South Texas, took us 5 hours to get down there and 7 to get back. We had to take it easy through a huge storm with 40+ mph crosswinds, and very heavy rain. None the less we got a good feel for it, and even thought we are excited for deer season, we're more excited for when it is over so we can get out and travel some more with our Hideout.

Welcome from a fellow Texan! You're in a good spot to get in a lot of camping near you. Be sure and get out in it right away and put it through its paces in case there is anything that "wasn't right" from the dealer (there always is). Far better now than next year.

Welcome from the Texas Hill Country! Send some of that rain down this way; a cold north wind blew in two days ago and it was in the 30s last night. Forgot which day was supposed to be fall this year!
